NE-IA Circle K Bulletin Guidelines

There are some guidelines that you should know and follow that will help the bulletin editor get your story and article published.

Keep these in mind as you ponder your story and picture submissions.

Yes, digital pictures can be used. Digital pictures are encouraged. Even if you use a film camera, scan the picture image, attach the image to an email and send to the district bulletin editor. A photograph can be used, but you must mail it. Efforts will be made to get it back to you, but there are no guarnantees it will.

The primary purpose of the District Bulletin is to inform our membership of the many and varied activities of Circle K-ers in the Nebraska-Iowa District Circle K. The District Bulletin is to highlight successful project ideas performed by NE-IA Circle K clubs and encourage clubs to tap into ideas that have proven successful for other clubs. The District Bulletin cannot do this, though, without your help. The NE-IA CIRCLE K bulletin depends on NE-IA Circle K clubs to provide the information for it; therefore, your club should submit descriptions of service projects on a continual basis.

You can submit information using the on-line form found below.

When submitting article ideas, it's important to include clearly focused, quality photographs that "show" your Circle K club in action. Plan in advance of your club's project to have a member bring a (digital) camera to document your active service on film - color or black-and-white. Then, take "action" photographs rather than posed, "lineup" shots.

Publication of your story cannot be guaranteed; projects that are well-documented and include photographs have the greatest chance of being published. Stories will be considered for their timeliness, worthiness and the availability of space. Articles may have to be held at the discretion of the bulletin editor until a later time due to space allocation and other factors.
